What a crock of sh1t. He gets off because his role is "important" yet when someone applies to join the police they must have no demerits and no drink driving convictions.

I really despise this organisation.

Sh*t yeah i was reading that this morning I dont see how a conviction would of mattered really he still lost his license. I use to work at a bar in CHCH and about 15 cops would come in on a thursday every week drink till they were pretty much standing my manager would call taxis for them and they would abuse him and hop behind the wheel of their cars. He put in a formal complaint and heard nthing from it except they stopped coming to our bar.. and rumours told they moved 2 bars down the road.

Had some cops in my army reserve unit - we'd finish an exercise, have several (cheap) bevvies in our mess... let's just say that they weren't exactly jostling for the phone to call taxis.

Hypocrites if ever I've met any.

Sounds like it would be fair if everyone was treated in that way, not just certain people in this country...

This sorta sh!t p!sses me right off. If it were me who had been at a family bbq all avo drinking and had driven home in my car, the cop would have taken one look at me and my car and seen a young male driving a modified car after drinkin therefore automatically making me a "boy racer", and would then have had No option but to throw the book at me, probably loose my car, my license etc etc, just because my Job isnt to "serve and protect". How is this guy any better of a person than me? Whether hes a cop or not makes not a sh!t show of difference to the fact that he broke the law.

The police and justice system is a joke. Hypocritical and petty.

How do they expect to gain any respect from anyone when this sorta Two-faced crap happens?

And our politicians, omg dont get me started.. Bunch of theiving businessmen raping our country for all they can get.

Its almost embarassing.
