what is the td04 equivalent in the vf series on subarus

VF28 or 29 are similar but they are still a bit larger than a standard Subaru TD04

Depends which TD04 you're talking about, but:
VF11 / VF12 should both spool the same / earlier and go on to make similar/slightly more power, but there isn't a whole lot in it?
