Hi everyone. According to other thread (http://www.clubvr4.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=49644) I can offer now potential group buy of set polyurethane bushes.
1. Front - 2 inserts for lower lateral arm (total 4)
2. Rear - 6 insetrs as in picture below circled in green (total 12)
ARB bushes - total 4

Price: 800 PLN or 720 PLN (if we got 5+ orders), which now is 162 GBP or 148 GBP (5+ orders). UK price depends on exchange rate which now is quite good.

Seller will not ship goods overseas, hence I'm doing this, because I'm going to Poland on 12th August and I'll be back in UK on 8th September, and I can bring back ordered sets.

Deadline:
I need to close list until 31 July 2010 and have all orders paid to me before 4th August to process group buy via my polish bank account.

Payment:
Bank transfer to my UK bank or PayPal. Details via PM.
Once I got money, I'll put order and will got inserts sent to my address in PL. Then I'll bring them to UK on beginning of September and send you via Royal Mail (shipping costs within UK).

Ordered and paid sets will be sent to buyers on and after 8th September 2010.

I can consider orders from NZL and AUS mebers of CVR4 but they should be aware of shipping costs from UK to their countries.

List of people interested:
1. swinks - paid :tiny:
2. smitty31 - PAID
3. VR457
4. WODJNO - PAID
5. phosty - PAID

6. adaxo (arb bushes only)
7. VR4WGN (not sure yet)

How difficult is it to replace these?
Does it need removal of major parts?

Generally, you have to press out old rubber bushing by press. Same dealing as with bearings in hubs.
To do so, you have to take each every suspension part out, which is: removing lower lateral arm at front and rear hub carrier at rear.
Not difficult job for anyone who has experience with suspension overhaul.

Q, this group buy is only for suspension parts. :deal2:
If you are in UK in September there is no problems, I can put you on list, then post polybushes to your UK address. Otherwise shipping to NZL is very expensive.

Well, folks...
Seems like we left with only 4 sets to order, hence final price will be without 10% discount, see post #1.
To save you hassle I'll pay difference whilst putting order in place, but BE AWARE that after bringing all purchased sets back to UK, I'll need be paid that difference.
Sorry for that...
Telling you know because still few days left and you can change your mind due to circumstances.

I would have been interested but currently "between jobs". What are the chances of a repeat order later on - say December time?

Why not?
I need sort out this one first, and we'll see if polybushes are OK, fits well etc. Seem like now we are sort of guinea pigs

Quick update guys.
Tere are good and bad news...

Good news:
Got all ordered polybushes.
Inserts are very high quality made from medium polyurethane (seems bit harder than rubber).

Bad news:
ARB bushes were made from Galant n/a forms, hence they are not fitting our VR4. Difference is diameter and size.
So, I'm gonna figure out how much all 4 bushes did cost, and all of you will receive refund (unless you want to get Galant n/a arb bushes).

Pictures coming soon. Now, I'm on mobile internet which costs fortune here in PL, so be patient.

Hiya,
Thanks for the update. I think as I have the 2002 galant 2.0 EA2. I think the arb's should fit mine. Am I correct.

Mark, there was 2nd lift in 2002. Not sure if arb will fit. Bushes are 18 and 20mm. Check diameter of your anti roll bars and you will see.
Ok, refund for arb bushes is 28 GBP. You will get one on 10th Sept. Cheers.

Right guys, I'm back in UK !!!/megawoot And bunch of polybushes with me :-ished:
I need your addresses to send ones (PM please).

Next order is due December or bit later. I need to figure out how to get polybushes here to UK.
Next time with orders more than 8 sets we can get price around 105 GBP (excl. arb bushes).

Here picture of 4 sets. Each set is in 2 packets (big and small). There are rear inserts in big packet and front ones in small. I took away Galant n/a arb bushes from packets (only smitty31 has got ones):

Just to let you know I have recieved the bushes, but I have checked through them and there seems to be one of the rear bushings that has the wrong size. I will attach a picture tomorrow. For each metal bar insert there are 2 bushes, one half of one of the pairs it quite a bit bigger. It doesn't even pair up to any of the others in the packet, as if it isn't for this vehicle or was defected.:uhoh: :uhoh:
Not sure what can be done about, any ideas.

I have attached the photo's below. It seems it hasnt been milled to the correct diametre, bigger than its pair. I have checked the rest of them, and they are fine.

14-09-2010, 06:46 AM
Hmmm... strange..../Hmmm Especially, that I didn't open your packet.
Please, do check how many complete inserts for rear you got (both halves).
It may be possible that manufacturer put into your pack half of insert and to other one remaining half.
So request for others: check your packets!

smitty31
14-09-2010, 09:12 PM
I have checked the packets, in the small packet ( front bushes ) there are 4 bushes and 2 arb's, and in the big packet there is 12 bushes, 6 red pairs and 4 yellow pairs with metal inserts, and 2 arb's.
The bush in question, is the longest of the red ones. Pictures posted above.

Got ya! Know what you mean...
Need to check mines and Glenn's packets, will see if the same problem we have. Wonder, which one size is right: thinner insert or fatter one. /Hmmm and which suspension arm it is going to.
Well, I can swap with you for right one, but need to know which is right.

smitty31
14-09-2010, 10:54 PM
Hiya,
I think it is the thinner of the two, the other identical pair is the thinner size.

swinks
14-09-2010, 11:00 PM
Right, I'll send you then mine thinner part of insert, and once you got one you'll send me yours thicker.
Then it will be mine problem how to fit one... /Nuuu :lipseal

15-09-2010, 07:10 AM
Thanks for doing that, but just wondering, will you then have to send for replacements for yours, or do you know someone with a milling machine.
Are the other packets the same?

swinks
15-09-2010, 09:16 AM
Nope, I haven't got milling machine and won't send it back. To late for complains (30 days states customer law in PL) and quite difficult to send and receive right one back, and in the end it's just 30 PLN (7.50 GBP) for one bushing...:rolleyes4
My project is already delayed, so makes no difference to me....

Checked my big packet last night. There are 4 different red pairs in the large packet. Of the tallest pair I also have one odd bushing which doesn't appear to have been cut as narrow as the other three, exactly as in the pictures above.

I also note that the 4 identical pairs of small yellow bushing in the big pack are very loose on the metal insert - in fact there is about 1mm clearance and they can be lifted off without touching the metal insert. Which doesn't bode well for tight suspension... are yours the same?

The 4 bigger yellow bushings in the smaller pack look fine but I haven't opened that yet.

Yes, all were the same issue, but I was told, that metal insert is not matching hole because they didn't have right size of tube to cut them off. Was adviced to try use old metal tubes from original inserts or find matching size metal tube.

Yeah, my small yellow inserts are the same, with the metal inserts being too small.
