just found this on trademe. pretty cheap looks like it needs some serious TLC but at that price I would buy it if I had the spare coin

yeah close enough, was in Ohaupo. Runs alright. The AYC pump makes a god awful noise when AYC activates, more so when 2 or 3 bars are lit. Also on the drive home the oil light started flickering too.. so a little worried there haha. It supposedly has an oil leak somewhere so will investigate that. As taupodrifa said it just needs a bit of TLC really.

more a tidy up and re-sell kinda deal, unsure what it would end up going for but am hoping for at least twice what it would owe me :P

I think if I were to have another 8G VR-4 it would have to be a much tidier, newer and lower km base to begin with.

where abouts? on trademe?

there's a '96 manual legnum on sella in waitomo (near otorohanga) for $3400, with good kms, 18" wheels, adjustables and a cert. Only downside is the transfer case needs replacing and the front bumper is a different colour. The good thing is, is that it comes with a whole rolled Galant VR-4 for parts which you could grab a good transfer case from.

I would get it but there's just not enough room here for me to do the work and part out the other Galant. If it's there in another week or two then perhaps I may look into it again.

There is a galant vr4 on trade4me its in balclutha I think from memory needs new transfer case but they only want $1300 needs TLC like replace both passengers side doors but still cheap enough for $1300
