View Full Version : Door Pillars Spruce Up

My door pillars were looking somewhat worn and faded so I thought I would try to spruce them up. I have read threads where people have sprayed them or covered them in vinyl but didn't really want to go down that route myself.

I decided to use my trusty bottle of Autoglym super resin polish. After a bit of elbow grease they came up quite well. The foam pad I was using to polish them picked up a bit of dirt from the pillars and left a nice shiny finish. Not bad for 5 mins of work

Does make a huge difference. Always done mine like this to the point where somebody thought they were actually a different material! Only thing I do find though, is that they do need doing fairly regularly as they "tarnish" pretty quickly

Have you tried putting some wax on top? The Super Resin Polish will not protect the surface once it's been polished.

Can you use Carlack instead of SRP?
