I hate PC World ! Uusally I don't go there but I was given £35 in vouchers recently and had a 10% off voucher too so I thought it was time to invest in a wireless network so I could talk to you guys while watching TV with the wife, instead of being locked away in my PC room. Not hard you would think !

Well I came away with all the necessary bits - a router, a network card for the PC and a wireless notebook network card - £180 worth ! I told them my set up three times and I get home to find my USB ADSL modem will not connect to the router as its RJ45 only ! So here goes:

[I hate you mode on] "Give me my bloody money back you useless b**tards !"

Wish me luck !

Pete

Well you could go and get a RJ45 to USB splitter or change the router to USB ports

I know what you mean with PC World
Went a while go brough a new PC nothing special Compaq passairo no monitor as i have a 17 inch one already the extra cover for 3 years was over £100 told him no thanks

Last time I got the hard sell for maintenance on a new piece of kit INSERT INTO post VALUES (Playstation 2 IIRC); I ended up walking out of the shop when the guy wouldn't give up. I told him if their stuff was SO unreliable it would break after a year, I didn't want it. When he thought I was leaving, he brought the manager in but, by that time, they were trying so hard I just milked it :D . Most fun I'd had in a long time, especially when I told him he'd also lost the sale for the dishwasher I was about to buy too. I know they've targets to meet, but these extended warranties are mostly a scam. They really should know when to quit ....

Sales assistant: :INSERT INTO post VALUES (
Manager: :Cry1:
Me: :p :biglaugh:

I always go to Novatech for all my computer stuff, they aren't too far from me and they're busy all the time! the place is huge!!
Their website is: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/Home.html
You'd probably have found you would have bought the stuff cheaper there without the need for any vouchers.

Good luck anyway.
