Gotta love our street.

We got woken up this morning at around 2.30am by a car alarm going off in our street.. I called the police and then went out to have a look. I couldn't see anything at first, because the street was full of smoke. I walked through the smoke only to find a Nissan Cefiro had been left in the middle with all its windows smashed out, and on fire. There was already a fire engine there working at putting it out, and the cops were doing laps of the street looking for anything.

This isn't the first time we've had issues here either. My flatmate's girl friend's car has been broken into twice, my fiancee's bmx got stolen from behind our house, we've had a kid come into the house, pretending to be selling crisps, and there's apparently a peeping tom on the loose too!

Haha, sounds a little like where I used to live. One (uni) holiday's at home we had three stabbings down the street in two weeks. Good ol' Rotorua. Only place I've had to ride down the street dodging thrown bottles and hammers after stopping someone breaking into a car :P (and possibly wee'ing myself simultaneously).

Sorry to hear that you have to put up with that @#*t man, hope it clears up. Our streets now a nice place to live after the gang family were made to leave, fingers crossed this happens to you as well.

Before I had the alarm installed, I was disconnecting the crank angle and cam angle sensors in the engine bay every night. That way, if someone DID try to take it, they would sit there revving the starter motor to no avail.
