i'm thinking of cleaning up the front grille whilst I have some free time, the bit with the small mitsi badge, looks like it prob comes out easy if you know what to unclip / unscrew? How does it come off?

The grille is just clips, you might need to pry it off a bit, or squeeze the clippy bits at the back (technical language :P). Should be 4 of them iirc

The badge is screwed on.

The grill is held in with about 6-7 small plastic clips. They are REALLY easy to remove, you just need a small pokey device, such as a screwdriver.

Push the (usually) grey clips, whilst *gently* pulling the grill forward, and you should find that it just pops out. If you have to force ANYTHING, you're doing it wrong!!

You can then remove the grey clips from the body (easiest way is to twist them through 90 degrees), and you put the clips into the grill FIRST before pushing the grill back onto the car :)

I did this job yesterday and once you know how the clips are positioned and setup it's _much_ easier to do - so here's how to do it if you need to in the future

1. Clips as they look like from above

2. Clips as they actually are - I think there was probably some special Mitsubishi tool that acted as a clamp to remove them - but you (and I) don't have that - so the trick is to press on the top clip, and then press on the front 'jutty out' bit of the clip to get the bottom bit that enables the bottom clip to become loose

3. Six or Seven clips

As Confused says above there are 6 or 7 clips - 3 on the top (or 4 if there is one I had missing) - left, right and middle, and the 3 on the bottom the same - here's a picture of them with the grill off

4. Left clips

5. Middle clips

6. Right clips

7. Notes to self

The top clip on the middle is 90o rotated from all of the other ones so you need to get it from the sides rather than the top. Also I found starting with popping out the bottom clips was easier than getting the top ones to move, so this might help you too

8. Refitting

Everything pushes back on, but it takes a bit of alignment by hand to get the centre of the clips to fit into the grill - just be careful and you well be fine

Hope this helps!

It's MUCH easier to remove the grey plastic clips from the car, and put them into the grill first when re-fitting! There's no special tool needed to remove them from the holes in the body - just grab top & bottom (or on the centre one left & right) and twist 90 degrees :)
