What would you say the best oil is to put in my Legnum Vr4 and does anyone know the best way of bleeding the active yaw. Some say you have to do it with the four wheels driving and rock the steering over 20 mph. (dont fancy laying under the car whilst someone is rocking the wheels and engine is on)
lol
Thanks

Sorry for all the questions

Your best bet is Amsoil, but saying that you would get a discount if you joined the club

Amsoil all day long, members get a 15% discount aswell , when you need 4 L engine oil and 15 L of atf for gearbox(if auto) and ayc then the £20 members fee pays for itself, and you get all the knowledge on these cars you will ever need.

EvoScan or build your own control box.

Personally, I would only use a fully synthetic oil in a turbo engine.

The weight would depend on driving style and conditions - and whether the car was still under warranty etc.

But then I also used fully synthetic in my GDI and currently in my V6.

Normally, it would be Amsoil 0W-30, but I was in a rush and used Castrol Edge 5W-30 + Mitsi filter last week (Halfords had a deal with a free 1 litre can when you bought 4 litres).

A bit of light reading :)

Check out this thread with all the oil information you will ever need for the VR-4!

Although it's in the members section, but for £20 it's very good value considering you get the knowledge of the world on VR-4's including a guide of how to change the AYC fluid

This link takes you to the best , very best by a long way, 'oil article' I have ever seen or read. Well woth the effort of reading. Then going back to and reading again. Absolutely all is explained including why those people / engine builders who recommend 60 weight oils need their head examining!:scholar:
