Had an odd day today but the long and short of it is that i now own:
Poor boys super swirl remover stages one two and three.
An orbital polisher
A VR4 with lots of swirls
A ferret
The ferret is largely irrelevent to the story but really cool so for now lets stick to the first three. The question is if i try to use purchases one and two on three how much damage can i cause?
Is this some thing ishould attempt myself or would i be better off finding some one with a little experience?

I want a ferret, can I have the ferret, please?
Is it a random orbital polisher? What make/model and what pads did you buy? Theres an excellent guide on Detailing World which was put together by the Guru that is DaveKG - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=63859 well worth a read, and then re-read it till you know it off by heart :p
Can't see you doing any serious damage with a random orbital, its pretty hard to burn through paint unless your really pushing it on a daft speed setting. Theres a few meguiars videos floating around on youtube and also a good set of videos by junkman - http://www.detailingworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116730 again, well worth a watch

firstly of course you can have a ferret there are loads of ferret rescue centres and as long as you have time and are prepared to commit for eight years to a pet that smells worse than a students bedroom after a weeklong curry and real ale binge and does love and affection in the same way that a great white does lunch they make a great pet!
Right back to the swirls. The machine is relatively cheap one as far as i can work out it has no speed settings other than on and off. The guide seems pretty straight forward and i'm not doing badly at learning it off by heart!
