gearbox breather pipe

Anyone know the location of it ??
spoke to my mechanic this morning, & he said the cause of the leak is almost certainly a blocked breather.
I'll still need the torque seal replacing, but he suggested leaving the gearbox dipstick slightly out, so as the let the box breath ??
He seemed confidant that it would reduce the amount of ATF I was loosing !!
Worth a try I suppose ??

Works in the same way as crankcase compression Derek..if the engine breather is blocked ... then it has to go somewhere.. :sad3: BTW was there an outcome from your letter writing..?
