.......and now I'm wondering what is the most kw anyone has ever made with completely standard turbos and engine? Im kinda wondering if the expense of buying an ecu and having it mapped is going to be worth it hehe. I've done a lot of km's now (180,000+) and nothing went BANG so I'm still happy for now :)

So what did it make? any pics?

Uc's had 205kw ATW with standard engine and turbos

...and Kenneth's 191.9kW with standard turbos / FP and ECU

I hope FP isn't supposed to be fuel pump? My fuel pump was not standard.

What I did have was a fuel pump (TRE), MBC, 600x300x76 Intercooler, Ralliart panel filter and full exhaust.

I did have some drive train mods, but they don't add power as such.

If you want to take standard turbos/engine etc to the limit, you may be able to get very close with a ECU remap.

Give me a couple of months (weather and still can't fit car in garage) and I might have some good maps.

I stand corrected then as I was always under the impression that your car had the standard fuel pump fitted. :coat

My car made about 185kw atw with std turbos, fuel pump and intercooler. All it had was 3 inch exhaust de cat boost and k&n filter. The new owner has done the fuel pump so I would be interested as to what its putting out now

Lol I was so tired I left out the most important part! Heres a couple pics and the dyno graph with the power it made.
Please excuse the dirt, I'll clean it when its not raining lol

Where its made the peak power (196.5kw) the boost has dropped a little, if I can fiddle with the AVC-R and get it to hold at 1bar were it should be then I figure it should be right on 200kw. Pretty happy with that torque figure, I think that works out to around 500nm? :)

So not many people have gone to the trouble of re-mapping their ECU? Surely a couple club members have gone down this road already. The extra kw gain from mapping vs price is what I'm wondering about now.

I make it to be about 503nm at 4500rpm and 258kw at 5750rpm.

The option of mapping is a bit difficult as your Air to Fuel ratios aren't on the graph which is rare for Torque Performance, they normally include them. Frankly though I think you're making excellent power and you won't gain much. You may get 5-10kw ATW extra and maybe up to 1100nm in 3rd gear at the wheels, but I can't imagine much more than that.

Hmm ok thanks for that Brad, looks like the effort of further tuning might not be worth it for only around 10kw. I did look at the AFR on the computer screen just after the final run, I'm not quite sure on the numbers but it was spot on down low and a little rich at high rpm.
