I`ve been toying with the idea of fitting a carbon fibre bonnet to my Roanne red Legnum./Hmmm

I`ve got the bonnet but can`t make my mind up if I want it on or not?

The colour of the car does it for me but think it will look good with the CFB on, I suppose the only way to see would be to fit it I suppose.

I`m fitting new Tein coilovers and 18"inch alloys soon so I think it might be better with a good set of alloys on it instead of standard ones.

I think they look great on silver, black + white cars but not so sure about other colours. I am in the same mind set at the moment because I want one but don't think it will look too good on a blue car :(

Same situation for me. My bonnet is a little worse for wear and so needs replacing. Not sure how a carbon one would look on a trigger mauve car, or if I should just source a standard one in good condition.

Not convinced. The more I think about it, the more I want one on a pear a pearl white car, & the less I want one on a indigo blue car. I think keeping my bonnet will be cheaper than changing my car, but I do really want a pearl white saloon with carbon bonnet & boot / trunk :(

On the red one in the pics, i think it looks really good...

Is it that much hassel to fit it and maybe have to swap it back?

No hassle Alan just need a spare few minutes to swap them over. I`ll do it some time this week and put some pickies up.

Thanks for the pic there. While I think there are better colours to go with the carbon bonnet, I'd definitely rather have it than not. Time to save up I think. Going to have to slum it with what I have for now though.

Hey Steve - Just out of curiosity where did you pickup the carbon bonnet from? :)

Cheers!

Why not fit the CF bonnet, and have the sides painted body-coloured?

If you're going to fit something that lairy to an otherwise fairly unnassuming car, you might as well go the full JDM styleee.

You could even go so far as to have some vinyl stripes (in a bright, contrasting colour) taken up the lines where the colours change, and right over the car :D

That's gastly IMO. But then again I don't even like carbon on street cars. I only like it for it weight property. Unless you're going to go nuts with the carbon and rice it nine ways from Sunday

I have decided to go with the carbon bonnet but it will go on when I have changed the wheels & uprated the suspension to tein.

So as soon as 1 I get time & 2 get some good weather & 3 timing so it goes together I`ll post up some pickies when it`s all done.:upsidedow

Thanks for the input guys.
