Anyone know how to fix these? or where to take them in the welli region to get fixed.

last night it just happened to me. I have the 60GB model (backward compatiable) so id prefer to get it fixed than sell it off for a new one.

any help would be appreciated. i would attempt to do it myself but i can bare stuffing it up.

heres a vid of exactly whats happening to mine

That vid is exactly what is happening to you, as in a red light blinking?

Redlight blinking is overheated, give it some rest and try it after it has cooled down, if that doesnt work, pull the hardrive out, (small cover on bottom of the ps3 if you were to stand it up, then there will be one screw and it should slide out) then boot it, if it complains about no HDD then turn it off and put it back in.

Failing that try this:

Hope it helps bud

Well apparently it will overheat eventually!
unless you use the proper steps to keep the console cool.

from what i read so far to prevent it from happening keep it vertical, dont put it flat on the ground.. especially on carpet. make sure theres nothing surrounding it to conduct the heat it produces. and get the cooling fan... i dont have one... but once i get this thing fixed i will probabl get one.
