Just be careful with Smoked gauges. Some are not backlit brightly enough to see clearly in the daylight ..

this is true my air/fuel ratio guage is a lil dimmer than the boost and oil temp tbh

Or you could try these. I have mine so they are White/blue during the day and amber at night. http://www.rspec.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_83&zenid=3779218496bb4b67a8fb1ea9c2584edd They also do dinky little 45mm gauges that can be fitted with a bit of work where the clock goes. These are not smoked and only have the amber option but I have blown over a smoked glaze and fitted blue led's so they match the others more or less.

Another thumbs up for the gauge linked from rspec. Very bright in the day. When you move from sidelights it lights up orange/red. Only problem is that when you use the main beam it goes back to white but that's probably down to how I have wired it.

that pod you have in the clock is awesome! how did you do that?

Quite simple. Take out the clock and chip/cut away enough space to fit the gauges. Drill 3 45mm holes in some suitable material ( I used a bit of old kick board) to mount the in and cut to shape. Then take an old VR4 dash board and cut out the cowling above the gauges to get the centre section then cut and paste to fit.I will now use a bit of velcro to fix in position See pics.
To get the 45mm rspec gauges to light on ignition drill a small hole behind the rim and fit a small blue LED ( with resistor to covert to 12v I can supply these in green, blue or amber) you will then need a relay to switch off this when the amber is switched on.
