recirc dump valve

I've had ahks ssqv fittied for a while now venting to air, but never been happy with the jerkiness at times ..thinkng of fitting the recirc adaptor to it and getiing air back in the loop..
anyone else done this or thoughts?

forgot to ask what size diam is the pipe going back up..is it 30mm?

Haven't done it on the VR4, but on other cars it works well.

If you know a keen welder, you can ask them to make up an "adaptor" for the return pipe with some fins in. This will make a "Chuff" sound though the airbox...more muted than the dumpvalve.

It will definitely help with the jerkiness.

You can buy the recirc kit for an ssqv , it locks into the fines and provides a feed back into the air side

aye thinks its £20 from sumo power been mulling over it for a while but think i'll give it a go

Have you tried winding the adjustment bolt in a bit on the back of the valve? (Or out if it is a long way in!)

I found that my spring was set a bit soft, so on partial throttle close the valve would open, leaving me with a sudden and unexpected lack of boost - instant jerkiness!

You have to sacrifice the fins: the recirc kit replaces them.

aye found a piccy on the hks site and it replaces the fin. just need to get some more piping as old pipe blocked off doesn't reach

I recirced my BOV, I prefer the sound it makes now tbh. There's nothing to it, as long as you've still got your recirc pipe, and you get the right adaptor (34-38mm iirc, but best to check :P)

i hope its not 32-38mm the largest hks do is 29mm
