Here's the application form. http://www.gumball3000.com/new/01.php

It costs £10,000 which includes the car and two people, and for 5 star hotels which includes all breakfasts, lunches and dinners plus VIP tickets to the Monaco Grand Prix.

Only ten grand? Bobby bargain, I'll have two, please sir.

Suppose I could sell the car - that'll pay for an entry ticket. I could always gumball on my moutain bike?!

If my pay goes up substantially and my holidays become flexible then I will be there!

(I think that equates to "If I win the lottery"!)

I have enough red wine inside of me to actually say YES to that, but I have this overwhelming sixth sense that suggests that I should perhaps at least sleep on it.....

Maybe in 2025? With my 17G VR4 (that runs on soap)

Happens every year, but not always on such a grand scale  TBH, I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole because every year clowns make the headlines somewhere. Remember the documentary that was made a few years back, with the guys in the white Ferrari 348 (iirc) losing it at 130+ and rolling it into a field? Or the two Lamborghini drivers that had their cars impounded in Germany after being caught racing each other up the hard shoulder at 180+ :rolleyes5 ?

I was a member of the first Cannonball Club UK in the 1970s (still got my membership card :) ) and it never got off the ground because the police clamped down on the event before it got off the ground.

What we need is a less publicised event ... :-b :D

As with anything else, you drive like a tit you deserve what you get.

I'd do it for the atmosphere and what it's really meant for, ie not racing or competing.

Problem is, as they've found to their cost in Spain, everyone gets tarred with the same brush so the sensible competitors and real enthusiasts get lumped in with the @rseholes. Mind, the organisers encourage the fast driving, despite what they say on their website. Why else call it the "Gumball"? ;)

Yeah I don't doubt it. :(

If you have an outrageously styled car over here they'll pull you too, if you're doing nothing wrong and you're legal, it's just the inconvenience.. in theory. :)

Nope, fuel isn't included and neither is tyres! :rolleyes5 when you see them doing hand brake turns and burnouts etc you wonder how much it costs for their rubber too.
