Need some help editing spycam film

I got some footage from the second session on Sunday but having probs editing it. Its 20 minutes long so I have to cut in two.

I've been trying Avidemax but when I try & download it on to Youtube it keeps failing.

Anyone got any hints, tips or some free editing software I can download that is easy to use.

I use a Sony Camcorder to take video - the camera came with editing software. I don't have any other experience I'm afraid! Looking forward to seeing the vid, though.

mac or pc?
Quicktime if mac
windows movie maker if pc, make sure you have the correct codec. klight codec pack is best
xilisoft video editor also if pc

i think its the format more thn size of file mate try converting it into mp4 then upload first imo for what its werth
