Hi guys, i'm currently on the hunt for a child seat for my leggy VR4, I've been to mothercare and they keep saying no! the problem i'm having is buckle crunch.

So i thought i would ask about see what you guys are using, so i can try one that i know fits properly.

I'm currently using a rear facing seat but hes quickly outgrowing it so any help would be appreciated.

Cheers guys in advance

Hi,
I've got a Maxicosi Priorifix and the Kiddy Comfort Pro,
I have used both in the Galant and they both fit fine,

Bought the Maxicosi from mothercare for the Saab originally but the wife didnt like leaving it fixed in the car all day in case it got nicked - so its now in my Gallant
I have also used the Kiddy comfort Pro - This is a different style, and can easily be put in the boot so noone can see it
Both are award winning for safety, will get some photos if you want?

Unbelievable. I'm looking at car seats for our 2-year-old, hitting the buckle crunch problem and was just about to post exactly the same question. What are the chances?

No solution yet, but am hoping to visit a specialist sometime in the next few days to get advice. Will post up anything I find.

Sorry, baby arrived early and I completely forgot about this thread. Probably much too late now, but anyway...

I spoke to a specialist and she said there were only a few seats available that would work, because the length of the webbing on the clasp meant the buckle rested on the car seat frame. Of her range, she said the Maxi-Cosi Tobi (which we bought), the Kiddy Infinity Pro and one of the Britax ones (sorry can't remember which, it had big metal hoops at the back that the seatbelt routed through).
