I say lets actually try the test on Ben's rollers in October , a back to back test nothing else changed other than stock to cone

End of arguement / discussion etc etc etc

Andy I could`nt agree more with that statement!!

I run 3 different ways out of the 4 Legnums I have./juggle

Standard airbox with HKS panel filter in it.

Apexi cone filter

Maffless with forced air intake.

So would be good to see if there is any difference.

would suggest that we use a fully stock car

maybe even do 4 tests

1) Stock Car - Stock intake
2) Stock Car - Cone
3) Boosted Car - Stock intake
4) Boosted Car - Cone

That`s a very good point.

Just one thing though, well 3 big things.

1) 1 Is standard with just a panel filter, exhaust.

2) 1 is slightly modified which includes, remap, apexi exhaust & cone filter, 255lph Walbro pump

3) BDA`S old Vr4, should I say more?

So all 3 of them have different spec and in order of what I think is quiker is:-

1= BDA`S old vr4
2= My white one pictured in my gallery
3= Roanne red Vr4.

Now if they where changed round would you feel the difference?

On a rolling road speaks volumes.

So lets see the proof in the pudding so to speak.

OOOOHHHHH MY EYES

Funny that as I sold the exact same postcard on Ebay 2 years ago.

On a serious side.:eurospec:

I might bring up 2 legnums to the rolling road + a standard airbox so you could try one of mine?

What says you?

How many diferent cones are there? There seem to be all sorts of shapes and sizes so which ones are you going to test?

LOL, I am just having the same thoughts myself on the Evo ... thinking about changing the big K&N cone on mine (it had this one when I bought it) and going back to the standard airbox with a Ralliart panel filter.

I'd be up for this as I might have one of my little projects finished by then. It's a bit of a cold airbox/cone filter/standard airbox kind of thing.

Ditto with the Skyline. Hopefully gonna change it back to airbox & panel filter at the weekend to see if it makes much difference. I suspect it will.
