I suspect there is an oil leak on rear turbo on my VR4, the turbo has been run about 70K km, some question about it:

1. Should I repair the turbo or just buy a replacement? What repair kit that I should buy? Any particular reason why we better repair it or just replace it? Where to buy oem repair kit online?

2. AFAIK TD03 is universal turbo that also used by many car or vehicle. Can we just use those turbo for VR4 as replacement turbo? Does it plug n play?

Not all TD03's will fit, an example are the ones used in the BMW 135i and 335i which are configured for an inline six engine.

Example: (Stupid image tags don't work)

the vr4 td03s are specific to the car....

td03-7g, this only designates the size and and compressor specs,
the external housings and mounts and oil feeds are different on all td03s i have seen

the internals may be shared, but not necessarily
