See at the very bottom of your post on the very right? next to your edit box.

There is a small box with a tick above a cross, click on that and it gives you a choice.

No, the grey box they gave you will stay grey forever. If they do get more rep a d then give you rep again, then the new rep given will be worth something but the old rep won't change

Rep can be given by someone who has no rep, but only if they are a full member.. The Higher your Rep is, the more Rep points are given to the receiver (Oooer Missus)
ie.. A member with low rep, giving rep to another member may only give say 10pts of rep.. But a Member with high rep, would give the receiver say 120pts of rep. This would boost the receiver up the rankings much faster..

@Karl - No it's cause you were being a cock back then and I just haven't noticed anything yet to give you good rep, not to say you haven't posted anything worthy just that i haven't noticed it . You did find a random post of mine and give me bad rep just for revenge though, which was nice...

@Nev - I best get posting, I've got 3 years on karl and he's already got almost half my post count :p

A new member has given me rep but have recieved no rep points. So you can also get rep for how many posts uve done too?

I gave the rep to Robbo VR4 for advice he gave me on where to service my VR4. However I thought I was a full member, last week I paid my 20 quid. unless it has not gone through yet, but I have access to the members areas, articles etc

The amount of reputation you can give increases once certain milestones are met, for example; for every 10000 posts, a cvr4 member will gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

I wont give out the actual figure however here are the milestones which affect your reputation-altering power.

How many days you been registered.
How many posts you have made.
How much reputation you have.

The criteria for initially giving rep are

Posted a certain amount of threads.
Have a small initial set of rep points.

Only CVR4 Members can give Rep, both positive and negative.
