Hi guys, just asking if someone on here would like to earn good karma by picking up an engine for me in Mt Roskill and hosting it until mainfreight can pick it up? Pretty Please. I can pay fuel, beers etc if you want.

Approx 100kg - whatever is missing.

Taylor: Actually I'm just after the pistons in this one as they're higher compression ones than the ones in the engine I've got, but if the block is in okay condition (it's spun a bearing due to oil starvation apparently) I may as well grab that too. It's not like it cost a lot.

Heresy posting honda business in a vr4 club, you shall be forever condemned.

that civic shall fly if that motor does find its way in there though

I'm hoping to get ~270hp out of it eventually. I should be able to keep up with you guys on cruises just with the basic engine in and tuned though.

I have no problems picking it up, but it may be difficult for mainfreight to pick up from me as I'm not at home during normal business hours

They only pickup during business hour then I take it (I've not used them before)? Any suggestions? Do you know anyone in the club up there that would be more mainfreight pickup happy that would be okay with my engine being there?

Mainfreight are generally ok to pick something up unattended, as long as its labelled. They're cowboys to be honest.

Dude, with just the H22A in that civic, it'll keep up with the VR-4's fairly easily lol

Haha Honda talk =)

Main freight arnt that bad, we use them alot and have not many problems with the amount of stuff that they move for us!

Yeah, I'm not saying they're not useful. They're just not as 'professional' as some of the others.

Dale is also going to do some weight reduction.. replace the seats with cushions etc.

Or he could put some blocks on the pedals and sit in the back seat ;P

Honestly, that might be more comfortable. The drivers positioning dynamics = FAIL in this car.

Maybe yours, as the speed limit towing a trailer is 90 km/h

Har, you obviously haven't seen these things get up and move with an H22A in them :P

They are quick above 6000rpm or so but in normal driving at lower rpm, I'd much prefer a VR-4 thanks!

As for the pickup Dale, any news on if they'd be able to do weekend pickups? I'm more than happy to pick it up but it would have to leave my place on the weekend.

I'll ring this afternoon. 6000rpm, nah more like 4800rpm with vtec shifted. Hell the better shift point is about 7000rpm.

A surcharge is involved in a weekend pickup so I'll try to avoid that if I can. Could you leave it out for pickup on a weekday Brad?

Not really, then it would be on the road!

oh your place is kinda like mine then lol. Would it be ok left at Richards? If he's still cool with having it stashed there.
