For those who don't know I work for a company who contract to car companies to supply technical support to there customers. Customer calls and asks a question about there car, we answer it. Customer breaks down, they call us we diagnose the fault and give the customers pointers on how to overcome the problem, or we send a contractor out and instruct them how to fix it.
We are all mechanics who have specialist fields (we are just over getting dirty and bending over cars!)
Before I went to the USA I had a couple of interviews for a promotion. When I got back I found out that I have the job. I am now a team leader and assistant manager of the technical department. I applied for team leader but while I was away they decided to make this opening in the technical department and offered it to me!
The technical manager job means I get to go play and learn about our clients cars more in-depth and the come back and write manuals and train others.
So yea, I am a very busy boy at the moment!
