Ok, this applies to anyone who is at school, college or a student.......OR.......the parent/guardian of one.

Take a look at this site:

www.software4students.co.uk

You have to register you/your child's name and school/college/uni etc (so they can check I guess). Make sure you read the small print etc.

As an example, I have just ordered Office 2010 Professional Plus, which can be installed on 2 machines, for the use of the student for £40......usually £429.99 !!

Edit: Just checked my order status and it currently says "Your order is being validated by Microsoft.
Please check your e-mails. (If your current status is "Dispatched" then your order has successfully been validated)" - I guess this is to stop people cheating the system.

Excellent find!

I have noted that this includes any school student, (i.e. primary!) so may have to be upgrading to Office 2010 for the girls to use!

/JawDroppi Is that not illegal? I'm sure no one on here has ever downloaded anything as it is just not on . Don't be a knock of Nigel & directly fund drug lords world wide /haz

On a serious note, students & teachers also get amazing discounts on Macs to the extent that they can buy them cheaper than independent suppliers

Try openoffice.org for a free alternative to Word/Excel etc. and download.com for lots of free stuff. No need to bend the law.
