Hi guys, at a gig of ours last night I got talking to a bloke who has a v6-24 (he spotted my Legnum parked outside the pub) and he told me that a local garage has a burnt-out VR4 on their forecourt ( Angel Autos). The interior and back end is totalled but the engine compartment is ok and the engine looks sound. The garage is Angel Autos on the dorchester/yeovil road, so if anyone is interested I'll give 'em a ring and find out if it s for sale and have a look.

Regards

Nick

If its a write off see how much they want for it, or if they will donate it to for project VX.

Right Guys, went and had a look this morning, turns out its an r reg legnum. I got there just in time to stop them putting it thru the crusher!!!!!!! They've had it a year and i was the first person to enquire, anyway engine , auto box and running gear all intact and ok. Only the front is ok- intact, no glass, interior melted, ecu a blob! Picked up a couple of items for myself and the rad , will post more details after contacting Zedy1 as he asked first!

Grab the rear diff, Nick. I don't need it, but someone will! That could be a serious investment!! :$

If they were going to crush it and the engine is ok ask them to donate it to the club for project VX.

They were taking it out prior to crushing! They want to sell it... cheap too imho! Although they didn't know what they had they still want to make money unfortunately.

Find out how much for the complete car as we can use it! As Richard said its an ideal boost for Project VX, even if its a few hundred quid! I know Mo wants it, but he will understand the Projects needs! :D

We need the engine, front subframe some wiring, some lights, front suspension, 5 stud hubs front and rear, rear suspension.........in fact most of the running gear and mechanicals.

A spare box is always useful as is a spare diff, VX doesn't need these!

Yep RIP, couldnt believe it when I picked up the rear diff this morning! They promised me they would keep it till next week so I could pick it over but the New Management had other ideas apparently. Anyway front & rear suspension, all hubs, discs, calipers and drive shafts available +cat/ exhaust , but not the twisty bit from the manifolds.
Ring em on 01935 83413 @ Evershot nr yeovil if you want em, they also do a "find a part service" so might deliver em at a price! :sad3:

PS; sorry Ian but a guy who worked there had the strut brace! Doh!

was going to pickit up, but i took a dihatsu fourtrak down and i also had to pick up an estate galant from plymouth (to break) and a subaru engine from oxford too. the engine and box where bolted together hence it took too much space.
