Have just picked up the car and after driving for a minute or so the check engine light and the tcl light come on. At first the tcl works fine with the switch then as soon as the check engine light comes on it will not work. Just wondering if any of you have had a similar problem.

Welcome. We are planning a NI meet after Labour Weekend. I also had the same problem and it was only a fuel solenoid problem. under $200 to fix.

Have traced the fault back to a fault in the airflow meter. Barometric pressure sensor problem. Thanks for the advice

DIY fault-finding or dealer fault code reading? I'm impressed if it was the former.

Borrowed a mates scan tool and checked the code. To much effort for me to plug my digital multimeter into the diagnostic plug and count the code out.

My TCS light decided to start flashing constantly on the way to it's 36k service this morning. Pulled over and restarted and all seemed OK. Mentioned it to the dealer when dropping it off so they'd check it during the service and they said all seemed OK. Started flashing again about halfway home (20 miles or so) after the service. Will check the vacuum pump connection thingy in the morning...

Also it failed the initial MOT (pre-service) on the exhaust emissions, but on the re-test following the service everything was hunky-dory **phew**
