Just got my electric bill for my workshop the other day,past bills for the last 2-3yrs have been in the order of 50-70 pounds as I dont use the workshop that often these days as I'm semi-retired,can you guess what my latest bill was

The actual amount was 3186.37p,they have been miss-reading my meter since I had the 3 phase power installed almost 5 yrs ago and reading the last digit on the meter as point something.They realise it is their error and are willing to work with me with what ever payment arrangement I can afford,my feeling is,get stu**ed

When I last spoke to them a few days ago the woman said she had discussed it with her manager and they have sent me a letter and to ignore the present bill.Lets hope they are going to cancel the bill altogether

I just went through similar. You can get most of that written off. Read up on the "billing code". Use google you find similar stories on other forums, with some good advice

They can only back bill 12 months

From my reading of their code it seems to relate to domestic customers and my bill was for my workshop but billed in my name and not a business name so not sure if the code will relate to me or not
