They do fit. I have a set of arms on my VR4 that came off a V6.

Indeed they will fit. And I am now looking how to get one of these old buggars off the Legnum! It's only hanging on the pressed in part. I'll first do a search.
sorry for offtopic

Something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Kugelgelenkabzieher-Abzieher-Werkzeug-Kugelgelenk-/160287183567?pt=Kfz_Handwerkzeuge&hash=item2551dc52cf

But if you're not going to re-use it, then you can use this:

Not re-using it! And tried the last tool, but no luck yet. I'll need one of those special tools-thingies. Thanks for the ebay link.
And again: sorry for the thread hi-jack!

Hehehe, at the the 2nd link.

I recently used the scissor type ball joint splitter, as linked to in the first of Alex's links. Works a treat.

To be honest... I have lot of those ball joint tools. But this type is the best (mine is from Facom):

http://cgi.ebay.de/Grose-XXL-Kugelgelenkabzieher-Profi-Ausdrucker-30-55mm-/150298939642?pt=Spezielle_Werkzeuge&hash=item22fe83d0fa

Much faster to work with and it will not give up untill the job is done:)

Looks good, I'll go and buy one of those for the next arm I'll replace! I finally managed to get it out 1 hour ago by hammering down on a big crowbar with a flat end the I rested on the ball joint bolt. Suddenly it just popped out. So 1 arm is now replaced. The old one actually seems to be in better nick than I imaged, no play on the ball joint up/down/left/right at all... well you know I bought the new ones for next to nothing from "dutch driver" :)
