I am thinking about getting a new car.
Now what can replace the VR4?

I have being looking at the Nissan 350 GT/-8 2005 (V36). Thats the nismo version.
Running V6 3.5lt that has a rubble of a V8, with 8 speed gearbox, touch screen...etc

Anyone heard about these? experience with them...any info would be good

Those things are QUICK! We raced one(legally) in a mates VR4 and it totally ate the VR4 alive. Hardly looked like it was trying. Really nice sound too

Ryan the more gears means for SMOOOOOOOOOTH shifting that you will not feel,my sisters partners 2010 Audi S-Line has 8 gears(Diesel) but you would think it only has 1 gear thats how smooth it is

For a Sedan I think there are more options, various Toyota's, Nissan's, even the EVO 8-10. For a Legnum owner the only options are newer Legacy's and Stagea's.

Specs on the car: http://www.goo-net.com/catalog/NISSAN/SKYLINE/10033985/index.html

Note it is actually a CVT that has 8 software steps in it.

The newer shape with the 3.7 engine has a 7 speed auto in it. It also has a lot more power http://www.goo-net.com/catalog/NISSAN/SKYLINE/10059870/index.html

I always look at the raw numbers. - 350 GT/-8 = 1580 kg / 280 PS vs VR-4 = 1550 kg / 280 PS

They are almost identical.

PS: http://exchange.goo-net.com/catalog/MITSUBISHI__LANCER/10065460/ = EVO X = 1600 kg / 300 PS

I think keeping the VR-4 is still the better decision. But I always say that :D
