Got bored tonight. Again /yes
So here is A/T AYC for all nice VR-4 people here...:)
On this one you can also see, where to get AYC bars signal from, if someone wish to relocate them

PS: too bad, it's rescaled so much...:/

Was going to give you rep for this but apparently I need to share with others more first :(

Excellent work Alex!

Thanks, Lee...:) What do you think of layout? Is it easy to understand, or is it too messy?

Looks fine to me, actually looks like it's a genuine Mitsi diagram.

so would rigging up bulbs from the blue red and yellow wires between the asc control and the combination meter give me a second display?

edit: does the asc control just ground the bulbs/leds when needed?

Yes, it grounds the bars. There's ignition 12V power to the bars from the black/white wire, just waits for the ECU to ground them throught red(bottom bar), blue(middle) and yellow(top) wires /yes
And the best part is, that you don't have to remove the dash and do some tricky wiring stuff behind. Connector C-50 (with all AYC-bar wires) is just behind the radio...

brilliant, it was the dash bit i wanted to avoid!

that looks simples! hate pulling dashboards to pieces!

Yes, you can also get the signals from ASC ECU directly.../yes
But it's a hell of a job to get to, I think. There's a very little space to work with.
And you don't have to pull the dashboard off, if you don't want to. You can only remove the left plastic side panel (glove box side) and reach this connector.
That's C-50:

Definitely Rep worthy, I'm liking the fact we can now easily access the wiring. I'm thinking I could tag it into the inputs on the Profec and have an alert that if I'm over 12psi and the third light is on, it gives me a warning LOL

Yeah, that's a bright idea to use the AYC bars for something else that will be more usefull in the straight line :)

And if anyone is unsure where those connectors from the diagrams located in the car, just write, and I'll put a pictures of them here :)
I took pictures of ALL connectors of VR-4 and V6 (over 400) /yes

So, according to this diagram, the AYC motor relay commutation is by voltage, not by ground. Which means, that the power transistor in the ECU is PNP type.

hey, where can i find connectors c181, c51 and c30? I have found no manual for these connector locations.

C-181 is 26-pin yellow AYC/ASC ECU connector for auto PFL cars
C-51 is 19-pin white connector south west from the head unit :)
C-30 is 22-pin blue connector for A/T ECU

Hi

I'm replacing my ayc pump but the wiring harness on my new pump and the pump i've removed has been cut, the problem i have is that 3 of the wires are black with no obvious differences. Do you have a wiring diagram of the harness so i can solder the correct wires together?

You should be able to upload a larger version now!

If the wires are from the original loom, the black colour is always ground on our cars

Cool thanks for the response, however just so i'm clear as i'm going to be soldering these wires tonight. I've attached the a picture of the original loom and what your saying is that the 3 black wires on the left of the picture are definitely grounds? are these the grounds for 3 separate circuits?

sorry to keep asking just want to be 100% before i start soldering.

Yes, there's grounds for pressure switch and proportioning valve and TWO grounds for direction valve. So there must be fourth black wire somewhere...
