well my rear diff isnt looking to **** hot again *sigh*
not dead yet, but ive just done a diff oil change and is full of fine metal.
so not looking good,
done a flush and refill, so hopefully will last a little while yet.

no point in getting a 4th standard ayc as it looks as if im just to hard on them,

so if anyone sees a S-AYC or LSD FS let me know,
no great hurry.

keep an eye out for evo rs lsd units as they bolt straight into the type v/st wagon casings giving you a plate lsd that requires no modification to fit and will be cheaper then a s-ayc

yep thats the plan at this stage,
so if anyone spots anything could they let me know,

thats the problem in nz people tend to only sell the whole unit which is 90 percent useless to us vr4 owners we just need the lsd pack from inside which are hard to find for sale seperatly

yep, not buying a open diff till i can get the LSD unit,
which probably wont be that easy to find

the open diffs are a piece of piss to get. ive got one waiting in my garage but the lsd i had found fell through which sucks

why hard to find ? separate lsd you can buy new ( starts from ~ 1k$ quife, cusco, kaaz) or a bit used stock usual around 100$-200$ start on ebay or yahoo.jp

in new zealand a second hand one is difficult and cannot afford a new cusco (although i would like one)
the shipping from japan or elsewhere is what puts the price through the roof

got this quote from Bill at Ralli-art

"Ralliart super traction LSD is $2200.00 + gst available ex Japan"

for that i can chew though 5-6 standard ayc's

ive found a Evo viscous LSD for $150, but im not sure if i should get it

Wow 2k, how much would it cost to get installed aswell?

Ryan

Pretty sure that Carsten would install it himself, so the installation cost would be about as much as a six-pack of beer or so :)

giving the Evo viscous LSD a miss, after reading up on them,
want something newer/better

yeh stuff paying someone to do it, would prob be close to 5-6 hours work,
and still have to supply a open diff on top of that cost.

Gly

as a side note, just did a flush and replace gearbox/transfer case, both mint :)
do need a inner cv boot for it,
