Can someone tell me will the manual box and clutch etc from a V6 Galant (2001), fit into a 1998 Legnum VR4.
Are they the same?,
Does the gearbox bolt to the VR4?
Are the ratios the same?,
Are the mounts the same?
And would the bits from this V6 car be able to be used to do a manual conversion?.

Info appreciated :)

V6 is FWD, VR-4 is 4WD... No place to the transfer box on V6 box :)
It's push type on V6 and pull on VR-4's... Clutch is definately not the same...
It will bolt on - the engine block is the same shape.
Ratios are not the same
Mounts are the same

Only clutch pedal can be used from V6 and some of the pipework towards slave cylinder

slave cylinder, master cylinder, cables, and shifter mech are all the same too

Edit by Nick Mann:
Note - it is believed that the slave cylinder is not the same between the FWD V6 and the 4WD VR4. Please double check before spending your hard earned!

An ST-R manual gearbox and transfer case will do the job, but both parts are smaller and 'lighter'

Your ratios are wrong for the VR-4, 1st and 2nd are 3.333 and 2.105. Your ratios there are for an Evo.
