Manual gearset

I am considering converting my Super galant to manual and have a manual gearbox with stuffed 3rd gear, anyone (Brad) have a stock manual gearset not being used that they would part with, cheers.

May have been if local, can get 3rd gear and synchro/hub for $100NZ from local gearbox shop, would like cheaper if possible though, cheers.

yeah, I got some "spares"

I'll have to check out 3rd to make sure it is ok. Pretty sure the syncros are ok.

ive also got spares, including layshaft/pinion gear from an evo with matching final drive which would leave your car quicker off the markbut it would lose some open road driveability.

unfortunaltly 3rd is toast in what i have.

you are welcome to have it so long as I don't have to bother arranging anything other than opening my door and handing it to someone :P

Only one issue (if it is an issue) is that I no longer know which set was "matched" to which so you might get one gear off one set, the other of another.

yeah, no worries. Might rely on Felipe somewhat as I think he will be taking the 5th gear... Will keep you updated on that though.
