Its that time of year again where I get robbed blind for keeping my car on the roads!

Flux have quoted a renewal of £938.75 with all mods declared, and I am just waiting for Lifesure to get back to me!

Such a pain in the ass!!!! :rolleyes5

mines not too bad, with my sports exhaust and lowered suspension declared, for business use I only pay $590NZ, mind you thats on a 25ST, not the VR4, but still very good for a $16000 car.

How do you go about describing the mods, Dave?

I rang up Tescos about my exhaust, wheels, and brakes and they seemed clueless what I was talking about!

They wouldn't agree with me that bigger brakes with 6-pot calipers meant my car was safer (weeeeell, you gotta try, haven't you  ) . "No sir, it just means you are going to drive FASTER, doesn't it?" ;) :$

Adrian Flux know what they are on about!!! Lifesure were only interested in the BHP increase really.......he came back and said WOW 50BHP is a lot so we cant do it........I argued that 50BHP was minimal on a 280BHP car, but he wasn't having it at all!

Tescos will be even more clueless and should stick to groceries!!! :lipsrseal

My Nitrous is not for road use and does not get install until I arrive at the track and is removed before I leave.

I have no use for Nitrous on the road, its quick enough!! :rolleyes5

I'm insured with The Policy Shop (http://www.policyshop-insurance.co.uk/cgi-bin/PolicyShop.storefront). Worth a call?

The policy shop refused to insure me last time, said that the underwriters didn't want to cover this type of car anymore. This was November last year. Stayed with Admiral.

Just spent 2 mins on the phone with Adrian Flux

I was quoted £1013 yesterday for my renewal including protected no claims

yes sir that is right

I was wondering does this include the Owners Club discount?

No Sir the base premium for your car with Owners Club discount is £7??

Errr, I take it that doesn't include all my mods?

No sir, with your mods it will be £913

Thank you bye

So 2 mins on the phone and a bit of cheek saved me £100! Bargain!

Pace ward all the way baby. After getting a number of quotes online and kacking my pants with the £1500-£2500 quotes being fired back at me I was still bricking it when I called Pace ward.

27 years old, 5+NCB, no offences etc, £600 all in with the wife on my policy.

Oh yes.
