Just been checking my car over after some wof work and was looking over the lights. I had the right hand bulb replaced.

From memory i cant remember seeing what is there now, cut wires and a wire now earthed etc.

Where my hand is, is a wire going from under the main light from the back, behind the radiator and in the same place on the other light.

Is this normal?4445144450

I have 2 facelifts and neither are like that so I'm guessing its not factory.

As above, not normal.

And also as Nick suggested, maybe it is an improved earth connection?

That's a scotch lock connector, so I'm with above.

the lights went perfectly before without being earthed, all he was asked to do was change the right bulb

are you sure it is an earth and not just a connection to the other light.
if it is not earthed then that will probably be for the alarm to flash the lights on set/rest function, or from a old alarm that has been removed. and you haven't noticed it before.
