I'm cutting it fine this year as well.

GOWF put in a sterling 13 hour shift today to get everything re-assembled with the polybushed rear end and welded up lower arms. Refitted rear diff with correct oils in correct places :embarasse:embarasse/drinkswine

Didn't get around to fixing all of the computer issues though so I will post some questions up on here tomorrow in the hope that I can fix it myself with the support of you guys.

Got to sort a new windscreen tomorrow morning then book an MOT.

Car failed:( on the worst thing it could. The downpipes & rear shock leaking oil. These downpipes are becoming the vain of my life.

The garage said its leaking at the front flexi. I struggle to be leave it myself. I got these pipes of a member In February & they were fine. I had them of the car 1st week of April to fit new gaskets & they were fine so Wtf.

I contacted PT to see if he had any downpipes & shocks but he never had downpipes but said he would see if he had shocks when he got home. Top bloke. Then I got a text from Phil (phosty) Asking if I'd managed to get helmets? I said yes but the car had failed MOT & the rest of my dilemma.

It was looking like I was going to miss Japfest & I was gutted all afternoon after hearing that the car had failed until. Phil text back saying he had downpipes & I could take the Shocks of his other Legnum:) What a guy. That turned the frown up side down.

So I'm round his tonight to pick them up. Re test 8am Friday morning. Here's hoping all go's well.

wow your cutting it fine for friday what time do you need to leave to get down here?Was going to leave same time we have last 2 years about 9.30 after dropping kids at school. That gets us at the hotel for around 7.

Thing that puzzles me though Dave is I did my back discs & pads on Saturday & the rear shocks looked fine & Kerry told them where the locking nut was for the wheels when she dropped the car off & they said they don't take the wheels off for the MOT. So how did they check the shocks?

Other think was I got an advisory last year for front n/s wheel barring & I haven't changed it cause when I checked it a couple of weeks ago it was fine. No mention of it this year so have I got self repairing wheel barrings?

My local garage said they are getting more MOT failures now than ever (they take them elsewhere), and they reckon some MOT places are deliberately failing more cars to try and get more work......a very risky tactic if the Ministry find out they are cheating !

PASSED!!!

Im over the moon, had a full days struggle though with emissions even on NON cat test! New goodridge lines, Super Blue fluid and even on stock pads it stops on a dime!

Then my rad fan decided it didnt want to play. Have had to wire in a seperate relay and switch into the cabin now to get the fan on!!!!!! Now i need to remember when stationary to switch it on lol I will def be doing cool down laps on Saturday!

Too late tonight to get UK plates, will do that tomorrow!

Kerry picked up the shocks from Peter today & when I opened the boot when I got home from work to get them there was Tein springs all ready on them. Saved me a load of work swapping mine over/yes. I cant thank these guys enough.
