The way we post new threads in the For Sale / Wanted forums is changing.

HOW TO: Guide can be found here (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?57905-HOW-TO-Post-For-Sale-Wanted-Threads).

We have found in the past that allot of man hours are being spent correcting and standardising the for sale /wanted threads. Moving forwards we will be introducing a template driven posting method. The templates will prompt you for relevant information depending on which forum you are posting to, once the form is completed the information is then posted in a standardised fashion, ensuring consistency throughout the For Sale /Wanted forums. As part of this we will be stopping new threads from being posted in the root of each for sale forum, ensuring threads are posted in the relevant for sale / wanted sub-forums - Threads will be moved out of the root forum over the coming days.

For now the UK Cars for Sale / Wanted forum will be the only forum using this feature, I hope to iron out any issues and include any improvement suggestions that you may offer. Once we are happy with the template and its features it will be rolled out as follows.

UK Parts For Sale / Wanted
UK Shared Wealth.

NZ Cars For Sale / Wanted
NZ Parts For Sale / Wanted
NZ Shared Wealth.

AU Cars For Sale / Wanted
AU Parts For Sale / Wanted
AU Shared Wealth.

Please use this thread to discuss issues and/or improvement suggestions.

FAQ
(Please read before responding! your query may already have been asked.)

Q: In the NZ for sale section, I cannot reply to any posts, or create new threads.
A: This is by design we are looking to ensure all adverts are in the correct sub-forum, moving forwards please use the relevant sub forums to post your advert/thread, i have re-enabled reply to thread - i did this by mistake, sorry!

Q: Where have all the threads gone in the root NZ For sale / wanted forum?
A: All threads which resided in the root NZ For sale / wanted forum have now been moved to the relevant sub-forum, the root forum is now closed for new thread creation.

Thanks
Barry

I don't have permission to post a WTB thread. Is this temporary?

I will be becoming a full member but i'm saving every penny i get at the moment until i get a VR4.

Not sure if this is related to this but it seems that the permissions have changed for the NZ for sale section, I cannot reply to anyposts, or create new threads, I can however in the sub forums which leads me to believe this is done in an effort to direct posts into their appropriate sub forums, however I feel that the ability to reply should still exist, otherwise potenial buyers, or sellers with parts requested cannot reply

Hi,

thanks for pointing that out my mistake - you are indeed correct in your thinking.

In the short term I've allowed reply to thread, (new threads still blocked) once we have moved all the threads into the relevant sub forums ill close it down again.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Tomorrow will mark 2 weeks since the template driven UK FS section was activited - During this time i made a couple minor adjustments (formatting) and saw no suggestions for improvement or additions (yeay) so, moving forwards.

Over the course of the next week the UK Parts and UK Shared Wealth will transition over to the new template driven format.

Therefore, if you have any suggestions no matter how wee, don't be shy about suggesting them.
