info needed for my mate.
what would be a decent price to pay for a Y-01 38.500 miles,2 owner,twin exhaust's,manual box with full history?

and any other info would be good. (see below)

I'd say that is a good price. Big service 54k, so still some time to go before that. Check the wheels out, as mistreatment is not well coped with!

i'd say 6200 is a good price - anything off that and you have a bargain!

if the car had been re-called would it show on the service history?

no - but a mitsu dealer should be able to tell you - and if not they should so the ball joint check for free.

by coincidence - mine is in today for suspension / braking noises - its already had the balljoint recall - if it turns out to be the ball joint - it will be done for free!
which is great cos its probably going to spend the next couple months off the road :(

he's just applied for a history check,and if all is well he's buying it,now all i have to do is talk him into joining the club?. he does'nt have a computer,but that's only a small matter :D :laugh:

he bought it today,payed £5.500 for it :-b ,ive not seen it yet but i will t'morrow.

:wow:.... And £5500 is a good price!

Is his Sport an early or a later version? The early ones had twin fogs at the front, like Nick Mann's car, whereas later ones like mine have single fogs, but electric mirrors instead. Oh, and is it a 2.0 or the 2.5 V6?

Looking forward to a photograph or two!

not sure about the foggies? but it's a Y,reg 2001.i'll just have to talk him into getting a computer now!!
but i'll put a club sticker on his rear window ;) (more advertising) when my new member pack come's :D
strange how it work's......wee are best mate's and both at the same time have owned,Granadas,cavalier's,escort's an know mitsy G'z...wee bought our Granadas on the same weekend without each other knowing!! FREEEEKY!!!!!!
but as for the Galant,i just kept on at him since he sold his Merc-cossie.
