The stealerships sell this BP Autran MM SP III oil as very suitable for our transmission...

Specifications

Autran MM-SP 3 is fully approved by Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) as a Automatic Transmission Fluid type ES-X64022 ATF-9 for use in:
- Mitsubishi front wheel drive (transaxle) passenger cars
- Front wheel drive based 4-wheel drive models.
Autran MM-SP 3 is NOT suitable for use in rear wheel drive cars and rear wheel based 4-wheel drives. For these models please refer to the oil recommendations in the owners manual.

Has VR-4 a "rear wheel based 4-wheel drive"?? :uhoh:

Vr4 has fwd based 4wd. I don't know if you have seen under a Subaru but they are RWD based.

In mitsi land things like the pajero etc would be RWD based

Thanks David. I've seen under Subaru, but honestly, I didn't realise that they was that different...:)

A subbie has a north south engine and as such they have a RWD style gearbox - hence why it's an hour to do a subbie clutch vs 8 to do a vr4 one :p
