Strange things going on with my car. Since doing the session at castle combe last month my MPG seems to have improved. Before hand I was getting (within a mile or two) 175 miles out of the tank when the fuel light comes on. The tank I did the trackday on light came on at 180 miles, was impressed considering. Next tank did 180 miles when the light came on, this tank is now on 220 miles still with no light! There has been no change to driving style or roads as I only go to work and back, same route every day, and the odd trip to the shop.

now is this an improvemt due to the track or should i be expecting a repair bill coming my way?

What you might find is you've given your car an "Italian Tune-up" and that pushing the engine / car as a whole has cleaned out some of the crap that builds up in the engine :)

My car always ran better after a track day! I never noticed an mpg improvement though.

I can feel that its running better but to gain, so far, 45 miles out of a tank it madness, that like 20-25% further to a tank!

Well if it does not get better it feels better...

Trackday - absolutely frightening mpg...

Followed by normal road driving - just frightening mpg

It IS better than trackday mpg, feels better getting back to just frightening mpg...

My tappets have gone quiet since track session, and also getting around 30 miles more to a tank, wierd eh!
