Guys Im now looking at sourcing a FMIC. What im after is peoples advice on different intercoolers you may have and reccommend or even stay away from etc.

At the moment the VR-4 is the only car I have and is a daily runner therefore im not after BIG power in such a way that it will be off the road for months. However, in the long run I would like to end up doing the trusty TD04 conversion or similar so would like advice on an intercooler that would compliment this whilst still offering advantages throughout the various steps along the way.

What are thoughts on the Evo 8 intercoolers? or this one:

Any advice will be much appreciated

Hi, I am on hunt for FMIC too, so far here is my two option.

1:
Get FMIC only and then get some silicone to plumb it, like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FMIC-FFRONT-MOUNT-TURBO-INTERCOOLER-TYPE-B-600x300x76MM-/200484166200?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eadc99a38#ht_1189wt_901

2:
Get FMIC with 'universal' fitments and use kit to plumb it and do part of hardpipes on top of engine from remained bits, like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-UNIVERSAL-INTERCOOLER-KIT-TYPE-B-600x300x76MM-RED-/140561218346?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20ba19fb2a#ht_1298wt_901

At the moment I am looking for info what could happen (if anything) due to slightly increased air pipes ID(about 0.5") bigger lag perhaps??? and lying another hour under car with measuring tape and pencil.

What do you thing about it?
