Pembrey track in wales, whats your opinion ???

I'm planning a trip to wales in august, and I notice Pembrey track are running 2 trackdays back to back, fri 5th + sat 6th august .
Anyone been ???
At £99per day, It appears to be very cheap for a UK trackday.
I'd appreciate your opinion, please

Havn't been there but have heard it's OK. There is another track in South Wales at Llandow where track days are only £80!
Pembrey is a better looking track though.

I used to go there many many times with my dad years ago, also i got family living nearby. Used to love it :D

Probably has changed quite a bit since then.

Exclusive / Semi-Exclusive Circuit Hire Costs 2011.

Exclusive circuit hire £5200.00 + vat per day
Semi-exclusive (un-silenced) £2600.00 + vat per day
Semi-exclusive (silenced) £1300.00 + vat per day



The Semi-exclusive testing cost is based on a two car team, and will only be mixed with cars of similar speed and/or type.

* if you require catering or any additional services, please let us know as soon as possible.
* payment for the circuit hire is payable at signing-on prior to the start of testing.
* payment for catering is required on the day of departure.

BARC Pembrey will provide (included in the circuit hire charges), an ambulance with paramedic, a fast response fire tender, a recovery vehicle and use of the scrutineering bay for garaging on a first come first served basis.



Circuit hire / catering fees can be paid by any of the following methods:
Mastercard Maestro Visa / Delta Visa Cash Cheque

Went to the truck racing there a couple of years ago.

Its short, but looks like a good challenge for a track day, albeit virtually flat.

I would say its in the same league as Mallory if that helps ?

Been to anglesea last year and would love to go again, I've checked out trackdays.co.uk, focused events, and now bookatrack, but neither have track days at anglesea for the 1st week in august when I'm free to travel.

A friend who went to Llandow seemd to describe it as even worse then Pembrey/Mallory...

...but then he did blow his engine...
