Just pulled my intercooler off to readjust and do a hard piping kit, and I noticed oil in the pipes from the split after the turbos down to the intercooler.
It's not a heavy coating, and it goes to the intercooler then the rest is clear after that - but is this anything to be concerned about?

if it aint much then no not really. the breather from the rocker goes to the inlet and gives the pipes a nice coating. obviously this build up with time.
catch tanks are design to stop this by filtering the oil out before returning it to the inlet.

Looks a little black, but is about how much gets in there, without a catch can.

Admittedly the last oil change I did was 4000km overdue and it was quite black... so a catch can will solve that issue? If so, great - because I already have one that needs to be installed.

Well that is a bit of a relief... if it was going to be an issue, I thought it would be best to address it now while the car is in bits.
