About a week ago the VR4 seems to be loosing boost. I changed the front turbo last month and all was goin ok. But just recently when coming on boost the gauge reads about 0.4 max then car over revs slightly and changes gear.

Anyone any ideas? Am not leaking oil, have no smoke and not loosing coolant.

Checked pipes today and one going down onto the boost solenoid was off slightly but put it back on and still same problem, i then removed the manual boost controller but still nothing.

could be a duff solenoid then.

How do i tell if it is a duff solenoid? is there anyway of bypassing the solenoids and just using a mbc?

is there anyway you can get another solenoid to try?

not saying it is this but worth checking if you can.

have you checked ALL pipes and vacume pipes ?

is the car smokey at all?

The 2 on top are fine but I need to check both on ic. Anyone got an ideaea how all the boost pipes should be plumbed with a mbc fitted?

just unplug the boost solenoid and put the mbc on in its place

The boost solenoid closest to the front of car has 2 pipes going in & solenoid at rear has one, so how do i plumb it all together?

as c0xxy says just take the 2 off the standard solenoid and fit them to the MBC.
if the pipes are not long enough to do this, then get longer pipes and replace the old ones.
there are loads of threads on here that show you how to plum in a MBC just make sure you read the threads and don't just look at the first pictures that come up in the thread as these are alway correct and ammended ones maybe in later posts or in the body of the posts it might describe the correct way to do it.
