Hey.

Im after a short shift kit for my ec5 96 vr4!

Pm me if you have one or know wher to get 1!

Evo 1-3 or gsr-evo? thats all i could find on trademe... What do i need to mod?

From memory the front of the plastic frame needs to be filed back a bit to allow the cable to pass. You'll know what I mean when you try and put it back together.

evo 4-6 will fit,
just need some spacers to lift the cradle (if you use the shortest shift setting)
and to trim some plastic so the cable doesn't foul on the cradle (the cable pops out of the holder if its not trimmed)

indeed your supposed to use there blue spacers instead of the factory rubber ones,

i put them under the factory ones to get the height of the cradle up so i can use the shortest shift setting,
(you will need longer bolts to do this)

once you put it together before you put the boot on shift through the gears you'll see the cable thats fouling, and just take a file to the cradle
