This is Mk3 of my custom gauge pod, I'm sure Mk1 is on the forum somewhere, and mk2 is in my workshop, Mk2 worked really well and was close to perfect, but being a born fiddler i had a brain wave :uhoh: and started thinking why do i need 2 boost gauges seeing as the AVCR has one built in, so Mk3 was born.

I was undecided what to cover it in as i get really pissed off with the amount of reflection, so i had a brain wave and used some spare facelift seat material i had kicking about, which looks ok, although i may resort to black vinyl to make it blend in better.

The creation of this one did create one side issue, wtf do i do with my wideband gauge? so this was created.

which i have to say sits very nicely, I just need to print off a black facia for it so it is a tad more discrete.

wel, I picked up some black vinyl today that matches the pattern of the dash, so next time i have some free time i shall recover the clock pod and see how it looks then.

I cannot see if AFR gauge is mouldd into the airvent fitting...

How have you fixed it there...?

Yeh its moulded in, i just modified an old single pod and mounted it on top, then filled it to give a nice smooth radius, If I remember I'll get a close up of it later.

If I get back to VR-4 ownership these are the type of mouldings that would be desirable...

A fitting that looks good and locates a gauge conveniently must have a market...

Looks good Paul. For the plastic trim to match the dash, if you have a spare door card you can strip it off the top part. Especially like the centre one where the clock goes.

V3.1 is done,

I Have tapered the 2 front pieces off to give a smoother more original shape.

I have also covered it in vinyl which is a very close match to the dash, It looks dull at the mo, unfortunately that is because of the polish the local hand car wash used on my dash, which has made it shiny shiny shiny
