Just wondered how you found the site? I found it after a google search when I was looking to buy a VR4.

Now we are handing out business cards and flying the flag at shows, how many stumbled accross this club in the real world rather than electronically?

I had already purchased my VR4 as I'm a terrible impulse buyer... :( (I knew zilch about them)
About a week later, I had a little search on google for any details on my new toy, and up CVR4 sprung.
It was still early days back then, but I stuck with it cos I knew it was going to be a winner... ;)

I chose Other because I got here through The Galant Center. I was looking for a Galant and found out there were 8g VR-4s and got all excited. I visit here a lot but never regged.. I'm usually just here to drool over the fancy cars... And hoping that maybe one guy wants to send their car to the US for me.

I put other too as I was lurking on the Lancer Register, being a fully paid up member there, when Pete and Barry suggested setting up a new site dedicated to our cars.

Ah, the first Japfest at CC, I remember it well. Did anyone ever do an article on it? I'm sure it would be a wonderful piece of history to add to the site.

Phil.

I'm a "google searcher" myself.

Had my V6 for 3 and half years which was spent lusting over a VR4. Finally got my finances together and did some searching on the net expecting virtually nothing to come back and to my immense pleasure I found CVR4 at the top of my first search.

I never actually needed another search and spent about a week devouring the site before I bought mine. :-b

Hi all,

Hey all...

I found the site, while looking for Legnum's for sale in Australia. I have a Legnum, which I exported to Australia as a private import, currently for sale!

Have owned the car for about 18 months or so, I have owned all kinds of performance turbo cars, the Legnum was a very nice ride. Currently driving a 2001 Benz S500L which is a far cry from the sportiness of the Legnum, but it is still pretty powerfull. 5L V8 with a bit over 300HP. No complaints!

Cheers..

Hi all I found the site whilst looking for a performance car that was different and as my mate has an evo I thought of mitubishi then thought of a galant as needed a family car too for the mrs and baby so I searched on google and found this site.

You guys have been great so far and I hope that when I pick up my VR4 (hopfully sometime this week) I hope to have much fun with her.

I started toying with the idea of an 8G VR4 last year, and started browsing the usual car sales sites. When Bill-t (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/member.php?u=2105)'s car appeared on eBay, he mentioned the club's URL in his auction, so I moseyed over for a look-see, and decided to stay.

As Steve (wildcards) says, I do like the Soarer. a UZZ31 4.0 GT-L with the EMV is on the list of cars to own in my lifetime, probably after I've gone as far as I can with my Legnum - Stunning car, the Soarer is. It's a shame that they're not getting any younger though, and there are a lot of neglected ones about.

Anyhoo - search the site for a wealth of information, and you'll be made very welcome at the many meets we have - be great to meet you! :2thumbsup

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'll be sad to see the Soarer go, but nothing lasts forever, except my Lotus, which I bought in 1988, and will keep until I can't get in it anymore.

I'm not far from the Keighley Trade Centre, they seem to have a good selection of VR4's to have a look at.

Anyone have any experience of dealing with them? or should I just use them as a showroom?

Thanks again, Mike (Qwertyco)

Heh! Sorry - only just caught up with this thread. It was me - much to the disgust of the friends I was with. I don't think they understand how geeky I am when it comes to my car!!

Seem to have discovered that my problem is related to a safety recall. Found the information on here. Thanks guys!!!!

Should have an interesting conversation with them tomorrow (Friday)

Google for me too.

I was trying to replace two cars (daily driver and 'fun' car) with one and spent ages trying to find something that fitted the bill. My memory was jogged when going through paperwork for the old Scirocco and finding a timing slip from a run against a VR4 Legnum at Santa Pod. I'd actually noted the model on the slip as I wasn't sure what it was at the time. Oh, and yes, it beat me.

Well,
one saturday, my best friend Thomas called me. He told me that a man called him for selling a vr4. He did not have the money, so he told me. I discussed it with my wife, and she just said: You ever wanted a car with that performance, and there is enough space when we will become parents, it is perfect. So i called the owner and bought the car.
While waiting for it, i´ve searched the web for informations about the car.
Now when owning it for a year, i joined the forum and still looking forward to join the club.

I was watching my Legnum sit at the car dealer for about 3 months and pondered over whether or not to buy it, everyone I spoke to warned me about how expensive the AT's were etc etc... So before I bought it I conducted some thorough research into the car and in my numerous internet searches, CVR4 cropped up.

Even though the car has cost me more in maintenance than what I bought it for, it was worth it. I now have effectively a new transmission and everything else is in good running order. I look after my posessions, my cars especially.

I'm very lucky to own a VR4 as there are very few countries that actually have them and as such this site provides all the information and know-how I need to keep my car running.

Cheers CVR4!

google here too
when i decided i wanted a legnum, I searched for legnum owners club...

I always find owners clubs a good idea, and have always been a member with the one for my cars....though tbh ive cut back on the number now....at one point I was a member of 7 car clubs lol, after my membership on gt4oc runs out, it'll just be the 2 gtouk and cvr4

As a complete newbie

I found you through google for the buying advice (damn useful!!)

Then when I bought lenny he came with a club key ring and decked out in club stickers. So I thought I'd best pay my money or someone will think I'm a ringer

Why would you want it off? Its your last resorting argument for costs of damages against a tow truck towing your car home instead of lifting it.

I bought my Leggie completely cold on what they were about. Looked like a seriously mean piece of kit from photos, it was local and my father in law imports Jap motor homes so knew a bit about them. One Test Drive later and it's game over, i'm hooked.

Thought i better find out a little bit about my new beast and found this straight away... Been very useful, had a few faults that i now know are pretty common so mind at ease. Good work guys!

Although I've had my Legnum for over a year now I've never really pursued a "club" even though I have been a member of a different marque's club for a very long time and found the experience worthwhile and enjoyable. Just an idle google search brought me here tonight.

I was a owner of eternal wannabe , they call it "Perdana" here
actually it's was same spec with eternal but , my country love to reproduce other people stuff. so i put it wannabe.

My 1st 4g63 were screw , then i went to half cut shop and found out .i've saw this engine 6a13TT and 4g63TT the price tag for 6a13TT were cheaper then a 4g63TT. But i can't take 6a13TT due to if it's possible to put into my car it's no possible to get it legal on the road.

Then i went home and browser the internet i found out that 6a13TT is actually legnum vr4.

I have power to the dash but no readings on revs, speed or temp. Think fuel is working or just playing up... Do i need to change out dash or is this a easy fix? 1oamp fuse not blown.
