Has anyone done a twin setup with these turbos? If so, how does it go?

Aware of the custom stuff which need doing, just wondering which turbos to go for. Also aware of the cost ;)

There was a guy who did it in NZ years ago. That car has now been parted out I think

If you do a search of posts by user name "valmes" and "gowf" you will find a lot of info. Also valmes has several clips (of car in action) on YouTube - might be under "valmes" or "valmes001", can't remember.

If you want turbo oil lines, I found a cheap supplier on ebay (the USD is good at the moment) $129.00 NZD including shipping for 2 kits.

There is loads of info on here about doing it. Eurospec did have an engine with twin td05 20G's on but it was in an fto. If you search I've said a lot about my car on here, but if there's anything specific you want to know just ask.

One thing can be said though, my car was reliable, never had any issue (other than breaking transmission components), and was a perfectly good daily driver sitting at 450bhp.

What you need to be aware of though, as ryan has elegantly put in not so many words, there are lots on here who talk about it but very few who have done it, so dont take everything you read as gospel unless its been proven.

for 2 20G's expect around 600ish.... But be prepared for the lack of spool.

What bits broke in the end? What did you have to uprate?

Transfer box, but that was due to it compensating for the broken rear diff. So Diff and transfer box. Ran a stock transfer after that with a ralliart plate diff in the rear (its got 2 more plates in it than the standard RS diff) Never had an issue after that. But if i am to be honest, if i had kept the car and continued to plough money into it the gearbox would have been the next thing to do. That and an RS transfer case (or just pay the money for a decent front diff) before I put the new engine in.

As it is these things are not required now for the golf build as I'l be using cosworth stuff instead

Bringing this up, Would 2xtd05-14b be a good choice for the vr4?
