I've just been on thhe blower to exhausts uk & enquired about custom downpipes the bloke said i would be looking at 350 quid then a full stainless, he couldn't give me a price without obviously looking at it but the only thing i'm unsure about is whether to go with a de cat or cat bipass & the back box. anybody got any ideas what i should go for?

Cost sounds about right. I'd go for a decat as you may need to drop in a cat for MOT time.

I thought it would be alot steeper than that atic, even though there making a custom exhaust what back box do you reckon they will use cause he didn't say anything about different makes?

I think you have just been quoted for the down pipes. A full exhaust would be twice that much.

I was quoted £750 for full 3" system at top gear in bridport. That's with 2.5 into 3" downpipes.

Why would you have 2.5" into 3"? 3" all the way. The RPW ones were much cheaper IIRC but must admit the quality isn't as I first thought.

yeah it was a quote just for the downpipe i reckon a grand all in.
I got told 2.5" to 3" what made you go for 3" straight through beastlee?

Why narrow it after the downpipes, that's introducing a restriction? Although the RPW ones I have narrow to 2.5 anyway but the cat and Fujitsubo (other than where it meets the cat) is 3". I'd rather it was true 3" all the way but that's been discussed on another thread.

No outcome as such just that we had been sold 3" pipes but they were 3" external and more like 2.5 internal. Still an improvement but not a full 3" like we wanted.
